Biotechnology Building SOPHIA
The challenge: Dismantle an existing laboratory and clean area and transform it into a pharmaceutical production line, with classified, balanced areas and critical services to be certified by COFEPRIS and international health authorities.
This building originally built by ICHEP Construcciones in 2013, where a biotechnology laboratory was housed, fully equipped with laboratory furniture, HVAC and aseptic conditions, had to be transformed into a new production line for pharmaceutical products, in a short period of time and complying with with all health and marketing regulations for pharmaceutical products in Mexico and Latin America.
The result was fully functional clean rooms, filling and packaging lines as well as testing laboratories within the building where a production line is housed completely independent of the rest of the laboratory building in operations, a technical floor where the HVAC handlers and the production equipment are housed. filtration, and a roof with laboratory machinery; 3 floors and 1,360 m2 were necessary to supply a 590 m2 pharmaceutical production line.
As a peculiarity, this project has prefabricated walls, doors, windows, floors, luminaires and ceilings specially designed and adapted for clean areas and laboratories.
